Daan Viljoen Game Park is a 40 km² wildlife sanctuary located in Namibia’s Khomas Hochland highlands, just 20-25 km west of Windhoek. It offers a safe, predator-free environment for walking, hiking (including the 9 km Rooibos Trail), and game viewing, featuring kudu, springbok, giraffes, and diverse birdlife. preserving the ecosystem of the Khomas Hochland, located among the rocky hills, 24km outside Windhoek. Home to 200 bird species including Ruppell’s Parrot, White-tailed Shrike, Monteiro’s Hornbill, Helmeted guinea fowl, Red billed francolin, Yellow billed hornbill, Rock Runner and Ostrich – making it a popular and much enjoyed birding destination.
