A 14 day journey through Namibia is the ultimate safari experience combining dramatic desert landscapes, rich wildlife encounters, and unique cultural highlights. This itinerary takes you across some of the country’s most iconic destinations, offering a perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and discovery.

Safari Highlights include visit the Canyon landscapes at Fish River Canyon, towering dunes of Sossusvlei, coastal adventures in Swakopmund, Granite peaks of Spitzkoppe, Big game safaris in Etosha National Park and Cultural immersion with the Himba people

Day 1: Arrival in the airport and transfer to Windhoek

Airport meet & greet, transfer to hotel, check-in and relax after your flight. Optional: short city orientation drive and Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Transfer to Fish River Canyon

Scenic drive south through Namibia’s vast landscapes with stopovers for photos and light refreshments. Arrival and sunset views over the canyon rim. Dinner and overnight near the canyon

  • Budget: Canyon Roadhouse

Day 3: Full Day hiking the canyon 

Early morning breakfast, then proceed for briefing to start a full day hiking of the Canyon. Other activities include: sunrise viewpoints over the canyon, guided canyon rim hike or nature walk, visit viewpoints like Hell’s Bend and sundowner experience overlooking the canyon.

Day 4: Transfer to Sossusvlei from Fish River Canyoon

Early departure toward the Namib Desert, enjoy cenic drive through changing desert landscapes. Arrival at lodge near Sossusvlei and optional sunset drive in the desert.

Day 5: Full Day Exploration of Sossusvlei & Deadvlei

Early morning entry into the park, and climb Dune 45 or Big Daddy. Explore Deadvlei’s iconic dead trees and later return to visit Sesriem Canyon

Optional at extra cost: hot air balloon safari (sunrise) and Helicopter Safari

Day 6: Transfer to Swakopmund

Drive via the Gaub and Kuiseb passes with a stop at the Tropic of Capricorn sign a notable landmark offering a prime opportunity for photographic documentation. 

Arrival in Swakopmund (coastal town) and Evening at leisure or seaside dinner

  • Mid-range Lodge: Alte Brucke Resort or a similar venue.
  • Luxury Lodge: Strand Hotel or a similar high-end establishment.

Distance covered: 300 km (gravel road).

Estimated journey duration: 5 hours, including planned stopovers.

Day 7: Swakopmund & Walvis Bay Exploration

Full tour of the municipalities starting with a morning dolphin & seal cruise in Walvis Bay and Sandwich Harbour excursion (4×4 dunes meeting ocean), visit the pink lake, lagoon, salt pans and factories, jetty and craft center of swakopmund.

Optional activities at extra cost sandboarding, quad biking, skydiving and exploring Swakopmund town (cafés, museums, shops)

Day 8: Transfer to Spitzkoppe (Damaraland)

Scenic drive along the Skeleton Coast and inland, arrive at Spitzkoppe (“Matterhorn of Namibia”). Guided nature walk or rock arch visit and Sunset and stargazing experience

Day 9: Transfer to Etosha National Park

Early departure toward Etosha with en route scenic stops in Damaraland. Afternoon game drive upon arrival and Evening wildlife viewing at waterholes

Camping – Okaukuejo Campsite or similar.
Mid-range Lodge – Okaukuejo Resort or similar.
Luxury Lodge – Etosha Oberland Lodge or similar.

Day 10: Full Day Game Drive in Etosha

Early morning and afternoon game drives and spot wildlife: elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinos, zebras and visit Etosha Pan viewpoints, relax during midday at camp and night game viewing at floodlit waterholes.

Day 11: Cultural Visit Himba Experience

Visit a traditional Himba village and learn about Himba traditions, lifestyle, and customs. Cultural interaction and photography (respectfully guided)

Optional short game drive or lodge relaxation

Overnight: Opuwo Country Lodge or similar

Day 12: Return to Windhoek

Scenic drive back south with a stop at local craft markets like in Okahandja or Ojwarango. Arrival and check-in at a prebooked hotel in Windoek, evening at leisure.

Day 13: Full Day Windhoek City Tour

Visit Christuskirche, Independence Memorial Museum, Parliament Gardens, Explore local markets and craft centers

Optional township tour (Katutura)

Farewell dinner at a local restaurant

Breakfast at the hotel and later transfer to the airport for an outbound departure flight
