Day 1: Departure for Semuliki
Begins with a scenic drive from Kampala through papyrus swamps to
Semuliki. After lunch in Fort Portal, visit the Amabeere Ga Nyinamwiru
caves and crater lakes before heading to the park. Enjoy a guided
evening game drive to observe the park's unique wildlife, including the
rare water chevrotain and various large mammals.
Accommodation will be at a lodge or hotel in Fort Portal, with meals
including lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Game Drive in Semuliki National Park

The day begins with a morning game drive in Semuliki National Park,
home to forest elephants, buffaloes, and over 53 mammal species,
including 11 endemics like pygmy antelopes and flying squirrels. The
unique water chevrotain, or 'fanged deer', can also be spotted.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Albert, perfect for
birdwatching. Expect to see a variety of bird species, including the
Northern Bearded Scrub-Robin and Abyssinian Ground-Thrush.
The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at a lodge or guest
house in Semiliki
Day 3: Shoebill and hotspring visit
Morning trip to a wildlife reserve for a rare shoebill stork sighting,
followed by a visit to the Sempaya hot springs. The 'male' spring,
'Bintente', has a 12-meter diameter, while the 'female' spring, 'Nyasimbi',
is a boiling geyser reaching 103°C, with steam visible up to 2km away. In
the afternoon, enjoy leisure activities and sightseeing around the lodge.
Day 4: Relaxation at Semuliki
Enjoy a full day of relaxation at the lodge with friends or family. Indulge in
drinks or take an evening forest walk. After dinner, spend the night at the
lodge or guest house.
Day 5: Semuliki – Kampala/Entebbe Departure
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala via the Mubende –
Myana road. Enjoy lunch en-route before heading to Entebbe
International Airport for your evening flight.
