Day 1: Day 1: Transfers to Kidepo Valley National Park with stopover at Zziwa
Rhino Santuary
Depart at 7:00 am for Gulu, a journey of about 11-12 hours. The drive includes a 2-3
hour stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino trekking, as they are only found here.
Lunch will be provided along the way, with an expected late afternoon arrival in Gulu.
The day will conclude with dinner and overnight accommodation at a lodge in Gulu
City.
Day 2: Drive to Kidep Valley National Park
Enjoy a 3-hour transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park. After breakfast, embark on a
game drive in Narus Valley to see buffalos, zebras, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and
cheetahs. Take your time for photos and stops before heading to the lodge for a
relaxing evening.
Day 3: Game drive and Karamoja village tour
Guests will enjoy breakfast in the wilderness before embarking on a game drive
through savannah, rocky outcrops, and forests to Kanangorok Hot Springs. This
drive offers chances to photograph wildlife, such as lions, and ends with a return to
the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon, guests will engage in a cultural tour with the Karamojong people,
who maintain a traditional pastoral lifestyle. Visitors will experience their unique
culture through attire, food, dances, and daily routines. The day wraps up with dinner
and an overnight stay at the lodge.
DAY 4: Depart for Kampala with an overnight in Gulu
Start with breakfast and check-out before embarking on a final game drive.
Afterward, they will journey to Gulu with opportunities for wildlife sightings along the
way. Upon arrival, guests will have lunch and time to relax, followed by dinner and
overnight accommodation at a Lodge or Camp in Gulu City
Day 5: Return to Entebbe International Aiport or Kampala
The safari will begin with an early breakfast before departing for Kampala via Gulu,
with stops for stretching and lunch. Arrival in Kampala is expected in the late
evening, so it’s advisable not to book departing flights on this day. Guests will be
dropped off at a hotel of their choice in Kampala.
